J. G. Ulrich

In the Jim Hirsch collection is a small cylinder musical movement bearing the inscription: `J. G. Ulrich fecit London ad 1819 No. 4.´ Baillie lists Johann Gottlieb Ulrich as an eminent chronometer maker who was born in 1795 and worked in London until his death in 1875. Loomes lists John Ulrich (the same?) as a clockmaker c. 1832. Britten says he had `many addresses´, but places him at 26 Nicholas Lane in 1835.
