Edouard-Auguste Perret (1945–1965) “On 22nd December 1945, when small music boxes were starting to sell very well, Edouard-Auguste Perret started up his own workshop to make musical movements in the Rue de la Sagne in Sainte-Croix. He employed about twenty people working at home but does not seem to have pursued this activity for a long time because the company name was not mentioned on the list of music box manufacturers drawn up by the SIC in 1952, and Perret was not a party to the convention on minimum wage scales nor the copyrigth contract. It officially ceased all activity on 4th October 1965.” (Piguet 204, p. 286)
