Interchangeable Mandoline Musical Box, c. 1890 Probably Mermod Frères, N° 56227, with three six-air cylinders, 65 teeth in comb (missing seven tips and extreme bass tooth), nickel-plated movement with crank-wound coaxial spring, tune-indicator, zither attachment and loose tune-sheets, in grained case with cylinder storage drawer, veneered lid with rick-rack molding and recessed panel with inlay of musical trophies, wd. 25 in. (64 cm), cylinders 9 in. (23 cm), unrestored playing condition, with wood-handled crank. - Note: The extreme bass tooth was presumably removed during manufacture or shortly afterwards to make room for the sprung wheel that adjoins the cylinder and controls the tune-indicator.

Large drum music box, Switzerland/France, end of the 19th century. Rectangular body made of wood with walnut veneer. Hinged lid with floral inlay. Feet and rim of the lid ebonized. In the lid a game board with 8 pieces. Interior divided into 3 segments: left lever for winding, right lever for different game modes (change/repeat) and start/stop. Middle segment with hinged lid with glass insert, below it the orchestra consisting of roller, 2 bells and rhythm section. Also a display (1-8) for piece selection. Automat plays, 23 x 48 x 27 cm Große Walzenspieluhr, Schweiz/Frankreich, Ende 19. Jh. Rechteckiger Korpus aus Holz mit Nußbaumfurnier. Auf dem Scharnierdeckel eine Blumenintarsie. Füße und Rand des Deckels ebonisiert. Im Deckel ein Spielplan mit 8 Stücken. Innenleben unterteilt in 3 Segmente: links Hebel zum Aufziehen, rechts Hebel für verschiedene Spielmodi (Change/Repeat) und Start/Stop. Mittelsegment mit Scharnierdeckel mit Glaseinsatz, darunter das Orchester, bestehend aus Walze, 2 Glocken und Rhythmusgruppe. Außerdem eine Anzeige (1-8) für die Stückauswahl. Automat spielt, 23 x 48 x 27 cm
