This is a rare limited edition piece that was part of a series offered as a table favor to members of The Musical Box Society International at their 1995 annual meeting in Florida during the week of October 18-22, 1995. The piece was designed and handmade by members of the Southeast Chapter of The MBSI. The mini Victorian musical photo album was handmade and constructed of maroon velveteen and features brass corners & a decorative brass framed mirror on the top of the lid. The album will hold up to 20 individual 3 x 5 photos. The piece houses a 1 tune 18 note Sankyo musical mechanism which has been professionally serviced and restored to "AS NEW" condition by the seller, Music Box Repair Center Unlimited. The musical mechanism has a winding key located on the bottom of the piece, and there is a frontal clasp which functions as the on/ off switch for the musical mechanism. When the musical mechanism is wound and the clasp is opened the musical mechanism will play, and will stop playing when the clasp is closed.
