This is a Karrer overture mandolin cylinder music box playing a 17" by 3 - 1/4" cylinder with six tunes. A wonderful sound emanating from the oversized comb, housed in a mahogany and burlwood case showing signs of repair to the lid. Condition shows signs of wear to the case with light scratches and abrasions. Mechanically the instrument plays perfectly and has a deep rich sound. A great example of an obscure music box maker of the 19th century. Condition: (Very Good - Excellent). Dimensions: 31" x 13 - 1/2" x 9 - 1/4" (Dan Morphy)
