Polytype: No less than three types of tone is created using a cunning method of pinning and comb layout whereby the 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 air groups sound very different. Polytypes were hard to produce and although selling in good numbers, the air choices from the manufacturer was limited-per-Gamme. Here, we see a superb example in excellent condition playing the three types of tone clearly and vibrantly.
