An early composition tortoiseshell musical snuffbox, playing two airs,
Circa 1825, S/N N° 5046, with the 16-part sectional comb with teeth in groups of four, extreme
treble of five, on plain polished bedplate under replaced clear cover, in the composition case with
finely pressed floral detail to lid, geometric pattern to underside and mother-of-pearl controls to
front – 3.5/8in. (9.3cm) wide, the cylinder 2.3/8in. (6cm).
