Attributed to the small firm of Jean Billon Haller.

The inlaid walnut case measures 28" wide x 17" deep x 14" high. The lower section holds the cylinders that are not in use. There are bronze lifting handles on either side.

The mechanism, consists of seven cylinders, 11" x 2" diameter, each playing four tunes. The comb is in excellent condition with no broken teeth and no damper noises. There is a very unusual stop-start mechanism, in addition to a speed control. Power is supplied by a double-spring, lever-wind motor.

No tune card, each cylinder has a paper strip indicating the songs. This is an original feature of Haller's music boxes and unique to his instruments. (©Musical Treasures)
