Ten-song cylinder music box, with mainly opera songs including selections from Georges Bizet's "Carmen" and Jacques Offenbach's "La Perichole", housed in a painted rosewood simulated wooden case with marquetry and parquetry inlay to the veneered lid. Legend to the lid with no apparent maker's mark. Provenance: The Private Collection of Ms. Jo Ann Gordon, Madison, Mississippi; by descent. Approx. h. 5.754", w. 20.5", d. 8.5".
